Hey everyone!!! How is your Monday going?! Lots of you had to go back to work today, and I really feel for you... but I'm on VACATION!!!! lol Ok, so I'm on vaca in Michigan, does that REALLY count? Anyway, I present to you today's nails... I bough Funky Limelight a while ago, and really wanted to use it, soooo....I did.



I used Essie Funky Limelight as a base, with Essie Foot Loose applied with Konad Plate m69. Topped it all off with Seche Vite top coat. :)

BTW, the pic doesn't even begin to show how bright Funky Limelight is, its rather blinding. :-P

Day 75

Hey all, sorry this post is so late tonight, 10:38 PM EST!!! I just got to my sister's after traveling BACK across the state to spend the remainder of my vacation here in freezing cold Grand Rapids, MI. WOOOOO!! Today's nails were spur of the moment, and I JUST bought this polish at Meijer (a midwest chain supermarket/superstore), and for a $2.99 polish, I have to say, its gorgeous. Fully opaque in 2 coats, but I did 3 for extra sparkle. (as if it needs any extra!! lol)



and a blurred one so you can see the sparkliness better, but the picture doesn't come NEAR capturing its glory. :-P



I used Massini Magic Attraction as a base, with Essie Foot Loose applied with Konad Plate m69, and then flower/swirl pattern was hand painted with China Glaze Liquid Leather. Topped off with Seche Vite top coat.

This one is sure going to be a bugger to get off, darn glitter. :-P

Mad as a Hatter

Day 74

Hey all!! I hope that everyone's Christmas went beautifully, that everyone got to spend time with their families, and that everyone's travels found them safely at their destinations this year!! I must admit, I'm rather elated to be able to not do Christmas themed nails today, is that bad?! :-P Sorry if it is, but yeah, I was running out of ideas!! Today's nails make me think of The Mad Hatter for some reason, I think its the acid green base that does it... but not entirely sure. Sorry again for the poor cleanup- still no good remover here at the parents' house.



I used Barielle Polished Princess as a base, with China Glaze L8R G8R applied with Konad Plate m65. For the tips, I used Essie Foot Loose for freehand painted tips. Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Anyone get any good after Christmas deals today??

HAPPY NEW YEAR

The first thing I did on these nails was acrylic in nova near the tip. Then I used a glitter called disco balls from sparklesnailproducts.com. I mixed it with clear acrylic first and added it near the smile line blending it up into the blue. I painted a snowflake on the ring fingers.

These nails are a super cute chunky blue glitter called stratosphere. For this time of year we just had to add the snowflakes.

This color is called "black hole." I added pink and silver stars to it. I used my migi nail art pen to write "2010" on the ring fingers. Happy New Year!

On these nails I used my favorite color nebula and then added some silver sparkle strips near the tip and a silver star for a new years theme.

These are silver nails with gold stars.

Christmas Manicure.

Gisteren was een lekker rustige dag op de bank met slechte kerstfilms maar vandaag vieren we kerst met mijn schoonfamilie en dit zijn mijn nagels voor het diner.
Ik wilde alleen Absinthe Makes The Heart dragen maar na vier laagjes was hij nog niet dekkend dus toen heb ik er wat Konad tegenaan gegooid.

English: Yesterday we had a nice quiet day on the couch watching corny Christmas movies but today we are celebrating Christmas with my in-laws and these are my nails for the dinner. I planned on only wearing Absinthe Makes The Heart but after four coats it still wasn't opaque so I decided to konad it.

Sephora by OPI Absinthe Makes The Heart met plate M73 en China Glaze Metallic Muse.
AMTH is een rokerige donkergroen met fijne meerkleurige shimmer. Hij lakt erg prettig maar dekt niet super. Ik denk dat ik hem binnenkort eens over een andere kleur ga proberen. Erg mooie kleur!
MM is een van de lakken uit de Khromes Collection en is een zeegroene chrome en net als de andere chromes in de collectie heel erg geschikt voor Konad.
Dat is het voor vandaag! Ik ga naar mijn schoonouders!

English: Sephora by OPI Absinthe Makes The Heart with plate M73 and China Glaze Metallic Muse. AMTH is a smoky dark green multicoloured fine shimmer. Application is good but it isn't very opaque. I think I'm going to try it over another polish soon. Very nice colour! MM is one of the polishes from the Khromes Collection and it's a sea foam green chrome and like the other chromes in the collection very suitable for Konad.

Bridal, Pink, Festive

Sorry! Been real busy lately and thus the lack of updates. Been doing lots of bridal nails, and of cos some festive sets and lastly my regular customers. For now, 3 sets of nail pics!


This is a set of bridal nails I did. Bride saw some of the frilly nails I did and said she'd love to have that and ribbons on her nails. And there, this design is created.


This is done on acrylic extension. Lovely frills with pink AB and clear crystals. Pink AB crystals are so sweet and sparkly in real life.


Lastly, her thumbs. :D


This is done on one of my regular customer. Initially she chose one of the design from Nail Max, then saw another, then combined all she likes into a set of nails. Pink, glittery, hearts, roses and ribbons. All in one set! :) This is done in acrylic as well.


Her thumbs. Overloaded. But we love it! Love the pink stripey hearts!


Ok, a set of sweet and simple gel extension.
Light pink glitter tips, round pink disco ball (remember the Disco Ball nails I did?) flakes, and some holo flakes embedded. Actually, the pink disco ball flakes look very glossy and pinkish at different angles. It's really bad that pics don't show.

Merry Christmas! And a Konad Fail...

It is the morning of Christmas and all through the house, not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse...

Heerlijk! Gisteren in mijn schoonzusje hier geweest om vast wat voorbereidingen te doen voor het kerstdiner. Samen koken koken is gezellig maar ik kan er niet zo goed tegen als er andere mensen in mijn keuken staan en dingen anders doen dan ik ze zou doen. Ik geef het toe, met sommige dingen ben ik een culi snob! Gelukkig hadden we een fles wijn om ons gezelschap te houden tijdens het koken. Dat zou gelijk kunnen verklaren waarom ik vanmorgen wakker werd met dit op mijn nagels...

English:; I love this! Yesterday my sister-in-law was here to help with the preparations for the Christmas dinner. It's fun cooking together but I can't really stand it when other people are in my kitchen doing things differently than I would do them. I'll admit it, sometimes I am a cilinairy snob! Thank goodness we had a bottle of wine keeping us company while cooking.
That could also explain why I woke up this morning with this on my nails...

Echt, het zag er veel beter uit met een halve fles wijn op!
Dit is Zoya Isla met Konad plate M12 en de witte special polish en een mutsje om het korstje op mijn ringvinger te verbergen. Ik was het zat om er naar te kijken. lol

Here is my little present, i finally came up with the Christmas Mani . So here is my last minute Christmas manicure for this season.
I used sponge to create effect of spray on the edge with gold polish, i am not sure i captured it on camera, but it looks really cool in real life - like a real ball on the Christmas Tree.

Milani Fairy Tale And Some Good News!

Dit is Milani Fairy Tale uit de Halloween Collection. Ik wilde deze hebben sinds ze uitkwamen maar ze zijn in Nederland nergens te krijgen. Gelukkig hield Black Nail Polish And Lip Gloss een blogsale dus ik heb er vier gekocht.

Applicatie was prima. Dekkend in drie laagjes, wat niet gek is voor een jelly. Het oppervlak was een beetje bobbelig door de glitter maar na een laagje blanke lak en een laagje topcoat was het helemaal glad.

English: This is Milani Fairy Tale from the Halloween Collection. I've wanted these since they came out but they are impossible to find in the Netherlands. Fortunately Black Nail Polish And Lip Gloss was having a blogsale so I was able to buy four of them. Application was good. Opaque in three coats which isn't bad for a jelly. The surface was a bit bumpy because of the glitter but after a coat of clear polish and a coat of topcoat it was totally smooth.


En nu het goede nieuws: ik krijg een light box! Ik heb via FOK! erg goedkoop een mobiele fotostudio kunnen kopen dus binnenkort kan ik betere foto's nemen! Ik ben aan het experimenteren geweest met DIY light boxes maar dat was niet echt een succes. Ik kan niet wachten tot ik hem heb zodat ik er mee kan spelen!


English: And now the good news: I'm getting a light box! I was able to buy a cheap mobile photostudio through a Dutch forum so I'll be able to take better pics soon! I have been experimenting with DIY light boxes but I wasn't very successful. I can't wait till it gets here so I can play with it!
