Rubber Ducky, You're the One...

You Make My Bath Time, So Much Fun!

Welcome to Day #2 of 'Try to Get That Song Out of Your Head'!! :-P Today's nails are inspired by a cake that my friend Brienne did with a rubber ducky and bubbles. it was sooooo cute. I'll try to find pictures! (or ask her for one) :-P

I used Orly Snowcone as a base, and mixed with Pure Ice French Kissfor the different tile colors. For the Dark blue outlines, I used Pure Ice French Kiss, for the water highlights and some of the tiles I used Orly Snowcone mixed with Sally Hansen All the White Stuff. For the grout, I used Sally Hansen All the White Stuff, and for ducky, I used Diamond Cosmetics #319 Lemon Yellow Zest for the body, and Electric Orange for the beak/bill and mixed with Diamond Cosmetics #319 Lemon Yellow Zest for the wing shading. For the eye, Sally Hansen All the White Stuff and Zoya Raven. There is also a little bit of Sapphire Sparkle Effect on the bubbles, but it is hard to see. I topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Don't forget to wash yer butt. <---Words of Wisdom.

Models Own - Beth's Blue

Models Own Beth's Blue

Hi everone! How's everybody? I'm so excited! Almost 250 followers, that means I can almost unleash my giveaway upon you guys :-D. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get OPI Reflecting Pool, it's not in stores here anymore, I was so surprised! But I think I managed to come up with some nice stuff anyway! Well, you'll see it soon enough ;-).

Today I'm wearing Beth's Blue by Models Own, another great pastel creme. The name's suggesting it's a true blue, but it has a hint of lavender to it, which I really love by the way. The formula was okay, a bit on the thick side, but nothing I can't handle! The only issue you might have with these nail polishes, is that they're not 3free. But then again, some of my prettiest nail polishes aren't..
This color was completely opaque in 2 thin coats, one thick coat would probably work too I think. I'm just loving these pastels at the moment, there's something so sweet and delicate to it.

Interested in this brand? Models Own recently started shipping internationally and they do accept PayPal. Their website is www.modelsownit.com (not affiliated).

Well this was it for today, thanks for reading and till next time!

Walk Like an Egyptian

I am completely obsessed with Egypt. With ancient civilizations. With awesome. I have been a history nerd for longer than I can remember, I was the kid in the biography section of the library of the elementary school, the one checking out books on dead presidents and historical figures. I could watch History Channel all day long. Egypt, however, will always top my list of fascinating subjects, faraway lands, architecture, civilizations, etc. I just find it incredible to see things that were built or made thousands upon thousands of years ago that are #1. still intact and #2. made by hand without any of today's modern conveniences. I love going to Egypt exhibits in museums, and it baffles me that a cane, or a necklace, or a chair still exists, wholly intact, with the paint still vibrant and beautiful, which was made forever ago, but a pair of jeans I bought less than a year ago, or a dish that I have only had for a short time, etc. has long since broken or fallen apart. Our generation won't leave anything like that behind, it rather saddens me. But enough about nerdy history talk... on to the nails!! Today's nails were painted with actual Egyptian hieroglyphics!!

I used OPI Sand in My Suit as a base, Zoya Dea for the hieroglyphics and sponged VERY VERY lightly over 2 coats ofEssie Matte About You.

BTW, Good luck with getting that song out of your head...

Passion or Innocence?

My manicure have chipped today so i had to take some time off from working on my project and spend it enjoying doing my nails. I also made a matching ring again - i really love it! making matching rings double the fun of doing nails and triple the style of the nail look. At least in my opinion. I left the ring semi-transparent now, and it look really amazing.
So what is your opinion, is this manicure passion? or Tender and innocent?

This is closer capture of the right hand, i actually like the drawing here even better when one on left hand

OPI - You Don't Know J*cques - Suede

OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede

Hi guys! How's everybody doing? I hope fine! As you can see I've changed my blog a bit, that's just me, I get bored so easily with layouts and stuff like that :-). I've also added some pages, so all you ever wanted to know about me is up there now, yay. jk ;-). The FAQ page isn't there yet, because I really wanted to take the time to make it something worth reading. It will be up soon though :-).

Today I have another Suede by OPI to show you: You don't know Jacques. It looks nothing like the regular version, but I absolutely love it. I love how they've added a little bit more warmth to this taupe, it's almost glowy! And I need this little extra warmth, because my hands are the whitest out there (these photos do exaggerate it though ;-) ). This polish is packed with shimmer, which I simply admire, OPI did a really awesome job on creating these Suedes.

The application didn't cause me any problems, I do always have to rush applying mattes, otherwise it will get all streaky on me.

This is definitely my #1 pick if I have to meet with clients or stuff like that. I don't own that many 'worksafe' colors, what are your favorites?

Stereotyping Suburbia

These nails are inspired by and dedicated to the stereotypical suburban dream. I can just picture the Nuclear family (Parents, 2.2 kids, dog), waving from the other side. :-P Not sure what made me think of it. I think there was a white picket fence mentioned on tv while I was watching. Who knows. lol

I used Orly Snowcone as base, Sally Hansen All the White Stuff
for the picket fence, and both BB Couture Poison Ivy and Green Scene for the grass. :) Topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

More more more.... cny nails! Part 2

Ok now, acrylic nails.

4th set. Blue glitter with stars and disco balls inlay. Decorated with white ribbons.

Finally a blue set!! It's always pink, red, white, pinkpinkpink...
Anyway! It looks really glossy in real, with the sparkling blue stars. Chio!

This is actually a set of short nail extension. However, it's already quite long for her cos her nail bed is short. Loving the stars....... :D

5th set. Fuschia pink glitter with roses and rose heart cushion. Of all the CNY nails I've done, this is one of the most girly ones!

Uber sweet can!

Huge blings and the close up of the roses.

I almost died doing the uber tiny rose on the white cushion heart. Haha! But totally worth the effort!

Super clear close up pic. I ♥ my Canon camera!

6th set. Red with laces and flowers! This is the last set of nails I did on CNY eve. Last set, and the most CNY-ish of all!

The laces and flower petals are done using light pink acrylic powder, and I also added a little peach powder to the flowers.

I ♥ the petals.

Happy CNY to all of you! I will blog again within the next few days, that is if I'm not playing MJ. Hahaha!

The pink candy bows are almost edible. Yums.

3rd set. Valentine hearts n tons of blings! The pink and silver acrylic hearts are pre-made and then pasted onto the nails. Secured with lots of glue n gel top coat. :)

Enough said on the blingness and the ♥s.
