China Glaze - Peachy Keen

Hello my sweet Nail-Art Lovers.
The moment i saw this polish on the promo pictures, even before the colelction was relesed, i knew that i get to have this color. So i finally recently got it and sharing pics with you today.
I know i can play it out with much more fun, and i will, i promise, it is just that super busy those days.

Blue shimmer comparison: Misa VS. OPI

Misa A Sin Worth Committing OPI Yoga-ta Get This Blue!

Hi guys! Initially I wasn't planning on posting this tonight, because I had another great polish in mind. Unfortunately my David top coat decided to eat half of it, I've never ever experienced this before, but my pretty polish became victim of the dreaded 'shrinkage'.
Therefore, I'm not going to bother you with some lousy pics of this mishap.

Instead, I have a comparison for you to look at. I've been wanting to compare these two for a while now: Misa's 'A Sin Worth Committing' versus OPI's "Yoga-ta Get This Blue!". I found out about the similarities between the two when I was reorganizing my Helmer. At first, looking at the bottles, I thought they were blatant dupes, but they're not, albeit almost. It's hard to pick up on, but the shimmer that lives inside 'Yoga-ta Get This Blue' has a more turquoise hue to it. But they're so incredibly close that if you'd wear these two polishes at the same time, I'm sure no one would notice! So, I'd say these two are rather dupe-y.

The main difference lies in the formula though. 'A Sin Worth Committing' beats 'OPI's Yoga-ta Get This Blue' any day! I only needed to apply 2 coats of the first and 3 coats of the latter. ASW just glides on, where YGTB is more sheer and a wee bit on the gloppier side. Thanks to her flawless application Misa is a true winner here. If you ever have to decide between these two, you know which one to pick.

With that said, I want to thank you all for stopping by! Have a great night everyone!

Fit As a Fiddle

Today's manicure was inspired by violins/fiddles/guitars, etc. I came up with the technique of layering several colors, and then using a big fluffy brush that was wet with acetone and brushing lightly, until the colors from underneath started to show. I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out, it gave the effect of aged, varnished wood, which is precisely what I was going for. :-P I'll probably try this again at some point with crazier colors.

I used 2 coats of American Apparel Manila as a base, then 2 coats of American Apparel Pinto, then two coats of Sally Hansen Leather Frost, which I got at the Dollar Tree. Topped this off with 1 coat of Seche Vite top coat, let it dry, then proceeded to brush off the color with the acetone remover. For the F holes, I used American Apparel Hassid. Topped everything off with Seche Vite top coat.

A very kawaii set of gel nails!
This design is something I've not done before and I'm loving how well the colours and glitter show up. It took me almost 3hours to get this set of gel sculpture nails done and I would have to say that it's definitely worth the wait!

Colourful nails are so "IN" these days. :D

Look at the hearts!! They are inlays and are of pink and purple, different sizes and some are hollow! Ultimate cuteness.

Yummy colours.

Supa sweet n kawaii right? ♥!

Et tu, Brute?

Today's nails are simple, and remind me of toga embellishments, or borders in roman art/architecture. Today has been a super long day, got a new project at work that I'm excited about- wish I could say more, but confidentiality agreements put the kibosh on that. :-P Went to the dentist today for a routine cleaning, and #1 found out that Sonicare toothbrushes are the shiz, and really DO work, and #2, I need a root canal. *cry* Luckily, I'm assured that it won't hurt, as the tooth is not inflamed, just an old sports injury (one where I caught a softball with my face) is coming back to haunt me. *sigh* Ah well, at least NCIS is on tonight. ;)

I used American Apparel Cotton as a base, with China Glaze 2030 from Khrome Collection for the pattern. Topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Man, this makes me want some salad... Caesar, anyone?

Color Club - Wild At Heart

Hi guys! How's everyone doing? Today it's my day off today and the weather is playing along rather nicely. Helloooo spring! Since spring and summer are approaching it's time to dig up your holos again, finally!

So today I'm showing you one of the prettiest I have: Wild at Heart by Color Club. A rich holographic purple.

I was so surprised by this formula, it's practically a 1 coater! But of course I applied 2, it's a compulsive habit ;-). This polish applies very supple, no cuticle drag or anything.

I didn't apply a top coat because I wanted to show you how it looks on its own, not incredibly glossy but not as matte as the China Glaze OMG holographics for example.
It is one of those holos you *need* sun light for, it's not as extravagant as the Nfu Oh holos but it is really pretty nonetheless. I actually think I prefer my holos to be a bit subtle. The above picture is taken in direct sunlight and the picture below in normal day light.
What do you think of this color?

I hope everyone is enjoying their day and thanks again for stopping by!

I Have a Code to Protect

...a BAR code.

Today's nails are inspired by UPC codes. They're on EVERYTHING we buy, no matter what. I'm a total shopaholic, (If I were a dinosaur- I'd be a Shopasaurus Rex) so I see these bad boys on a VERY regular basis. I used to have to create them at my old job, too, so I'm fairly familiar. I couldn't fit an entire one on a nail, so they're just bits and pieces, buuuut, yeah. :-D (I wonder what these nails would cost if they were whole bar codes?!)

I used Sally Hansen All the White Stuff as a base, with American Apparel Hassid for the bar codes. Topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.
