Unicorn Pee is finally mine :P

So I know most of you have seen this many times before, but how could I not post pics? First let me tell you what my a$$ hole husband did to me. So I got home from work, and ran right into the kitchen to open my package, because I knew it was my Clarins 230. So I rip open the envelope, then the little box it was in, and then start to unwrap the bubble wrap. My heart stopped, when I unwrapped a blue glitter pumpkin polish?!!? I have never been so mad, that I said a very non feminine word, and stormed into the living room, so I could email the seller and start my bitching. I mean I did not pay $60 for a $1.99 pumkin polish, that I already own damn it. So as I grab my computer, my husband hands me a bottle of.......CLARINS 230! That ass, excuse my language, but he was, had somehow opened the package, box and then bubble wrap, removed the 230 and put in my pumpkin polish, and put it all back together! I couldn't even tell he had done it!! Him and my daughter thought it was the funniest thing in the world....well, it wasn't!

Okay onto the rainbow in a bottle. Oh and the heading says Unicorn Pee, because that is what it is called over on makeupalley.com :P

I first did a coat of Illamasqua Baptiste

Then I did a coat of 230. Hope you don't mind all the pics, I couldn't just choose a few, and there are so many colors in this polish!

This polish is pure awesome and worth every penny *sigh*

Bow & Polka Dot Duo

Mummy got bored with her black shatter-ed toes and wanted me to re-do them. This time, she didn't request for any particular design, but gave me the discretion to do anything I wanted. She didn't look at it either, till the entire pedi was done.

She has had her fair share of floral designs, and I decided to try something different. I've always wanted to try drawing a bow, and this time I finally had the chance to! Chose a darker tone of pink as the base (I didn't use OPI this time round. It was a colour from TheFaceShop) and used white acrylic paint for the bow with black acrylic paint for enhancements and details. Added polka dots as well as "accompaniment" for the lonely bow. (: To end it perfectly, I topped it up with a big rhinestone in the middle of the bow.

I really really loved the end result. In fact, it turned out better than how I expected it to be. Looks really cute and retro. Reminds me of the 80's retro era with polka dot dresses and big bow hairbands. (: What do you think? Share with me your thoughts. (:

HERE COMES SPRING

Leopard Love & helping others :P

I just wanted to show you guys, in case you don't follow me on Twitter, the new polish on Forever 21's site. I instantly fell in love and grabbed these 4. I really cannot resist anything leopard :P They had a total of 10 colors. Here are the 4 I grabbed, plus 100% of every dollar spent on their site today will go toward the earthquake & tsunami relief efforts in Japan, so what a great way to help out!

A Sexy Cami you all need!

OMG, I think my polish hauling this month has been an all time record, eeekkk, I'm sure it's over 70 now *hides* Well, my hubby is no help, while we were at Target he told me to get whatever I wanted, dangerous words to a girl like me. Especially since they had new Essies, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri's and Nicoles. So....I grabbed a few of each, lol. Here is one of the Essies I got, Midnight Cami, and OMG it's gorg. I was actually thinking of a way to make this into Starry Starry Night, since the base looks close, but I'm not that good. This applied like magic. It really only needed 1 coat, but I did 2 anyways.

Then I also grabbed 2 new Nicoles, and this one is CRAZY holo, Make A Coment-Ment, I also love the name :P
Ummm...can you see all that prettiness?!?!? This was only 1 coat too.

and since it's been a while, I decided to use my Born Pretty Hello Kitty plate, and add some white and silver flowers. For the flowers I used both Konad White and China Glaze Millenium on the same flower, it is kind of hard to tell, but I promise each flower is 2 colors :P

St. Patric Manicure

Getting ready for St. Patric Day!!! Tomorrow giong out for some green beer :)

The Wind Beneath My Tiny Wings

Those of you that have an addiction to iPhone/iPod apps like I do may recognize this manicure. I was at work one day, and a co-worker highly recommended that I check out this game called tiny Wings, and honestly? I promptly forgot. Fast forward to a couple of days later when I was checking the Top 50 apps in the App Store, and low and behold, Tiny Wings was the top download! I decided that I needed to check it out, and check it out I did. I paid my 99¢ and invited that sucker to join the other 160+ apps currently residing on my overburdened iPhone, and it's been love ever since. I initially noticed and adored the art style, which is sort of soft, and while grungy or dirty isn't a good description, the colors are not clean and bright in most instances. Everything looks stippled or sponged in some way, there is a lot of texture to the colors. In addition to the fun art style, the game itself is, while a simple idea, engaging and fairly challenging in some parts. :-D Anyway- enough about the app, here's my Tiny Wings nails! :) I did a different island on the fingers, and the App icon on the thumb. The icon one looks wonky and bad, my brush is old and starting to splay out it's bristles, which made it hard to make neat lines, and I was too exhausted to care. In my 2 free nights in the past week or so- I've swatched and photographed over 50 polishes! lol Reviews are soon to come- trying to catch up from not having a computer that had working internet.

I used:

Thumb:

Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver as a base, with American Apparel Malibu Green for the bird, shaded with Orly Sapphire Silk. Essie Alligator Purse was used for the wing and head comb?, Zoya Jancyn for the beak, then mixed with MAC Dry Martini for the beak shading. American Apparel Cotton for the eyes, with American Apparel Hassid for the pupils of the eyes and to outline. For the hills, I used Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's the Word as a base, with CND Green Scene for the lines. For the sun, I used American Apparel Manila as a abse, then shaded with Zoya Jancyn.

Index:

OPI Parlez Vous OPI? as a base, with stripes of Zoya Caitlin, American Apparel Manila mixed with Zoya Dove, American Apparel Manila mixed with Zoya Dove and Zoya Jancyn, Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas, Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas mixed with Zoya Dove, then Color Club Pucci-licious.

Middle:

Orly Ancient Jade as a base, with Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous? for the hill. For shading, I sponged Color Club Pucci-licious over it, then outlined it in Zoya Caitlin

Ring:

Nubar Green Tea as a base, American Apparel MacArthur Park for the hill base and CND Green Scene for the stripes and 'trees'. Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's the Word was also sponged over the background color for texture.

Pinky:

Zoya Dove as a base, with Orly Ancient Jade sponged over the top half. For the hills I used Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver for the aqua, and MAC Dry Martini for the dark olive stripes, as well as to outline the shrubs, which I used American Apparel MacArthur Park to paint.

Topped everything off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Fly, birdie, fly!
