Ciaté - Silhouette

Ciate Silhouette

From the vault

Hi guys! How are you all doing? Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been really busy. Thankfully I found some older pictures of a gorgeous polish on my hard drive, so let me introduce you to one of Ciaté's prettiest vampy shades: Silhouette.

Ciaté always hits my soft spot, the bottle is too cute, the little ribbon, the font, I love it all. British sophistication for sure! The color is quite dark, a very rich and warm dark brownish red. It looks quite brown in the bottle, but it's leaning towards red once on the nail. The color acts a bit like a chameleon, because it shifts between red, brown and even a bit purple, depending on the lighting. I can't get over how glowy it is, so pretty.

Application

Application was pretty easy, two quick smooth coats without any trouble. I did experience some bubbling, but only on my thumbs, how weird is that? This polish has decent staying power too, I remember wearing it for at least 4 days without chipping, I did add a layer of David top coat, and then I took it off.

Ciaté polishes cost £9.00 for a bottle containing 13.5ml. You can order them from www.ciate.co.uk

I've been on a green streak

I don't know why but lately I find myself reaching for greens almost every time I do a mani. If you believe in colour therapy green stands for self-respect, balance and harmony and has a calming effect. I'm not really sure about that but considering the hectic times I'm in I can use all the help I can get so I'm embracing the green.

This is Asos by Ciaté Pixie, a gorgeous apple green creme. This picture was taken after three days of wear while being pretty rough on my hands and without topcoat refreshments so I'm impressed with the wear time!

I needed three coats to get it opaque. Formula-wise there isn't much to say, it isn't remarkably good or bad and the same goes for the brush.

I really love this colour! IceRozie gave me this one for my birthday in February and I'm so glad she did. I love that it is very bright yet just a little bit dusty. Very interesting polish!

I'm very curious to see how it compares to OPI Jade Is The New Black but I don't have that one yet. As soon as I do I'll make a comparison.

Ciaté - Camilla

Hi everyone! Are you enjoying your last day of the weekend?

Today I have a very special polish I'd like to show you. When Natasja sent me some P2 polishes, she included two gorgeous Ciaté nail polishes as a gift for me and my mom! They're really pretty, I can't thank you enough Natasja! You definitely know what our taste is like ;-)

So today, I'll be showing you one of them: Camilla. I'm not really familiar with this lovely brand from the UK, but I do know these are a bit older, since they've changed the bottle. Camilla is a gorgeous purple with an amazing golden shimmer. The shimmer is really obvious in the shade, but when sunrays hit her, it's absolutely gorgeous. Purple is one of my favorite colors and I love contrasting shimmer, so how could I not fall in love with this one?

Application of this polish was outstanding, I only applied two coats and it went on very smoothly. I also tried the David top coat for the first time, and I absolutely loved it! Well.. I think I'll let the pictures do the talking..

Before I forget! My giveaway ends the 10th of March, so if you haven't participated yet, you still have plenty of time to do so :-). I've also added a picture of H&M's Sinful Senorita to the post, so if you haven't seen it yet, please have a look :-).

This was it for today. Thanks for reading, enjoy your weekend and till next time!
