This trumps your Double Rainbow

Good morning guys!! Haha I'm back, lol. I really do have the best hubby and I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to respond to all your guys comments yesterday, but him and I both declared yesterday, movie day no computers allowed, and it was a blast. He actually got the post ready the night before, while we were all celebrating, because I knew there was no way I was waking up to do it, and I couldn't fully compose a descent sentence. I asked him to and with no hesitation he did it, and I just watched and giggled. Here is a pic of him and our very sweet friend, Sandy, helping him out :) Since I took the pic, it's a tad blurry, because keeping still, was just not happening.

We both sat and read all of your sweet words on his post, and loved every single one of them. It was a very proud moment for him :)  I'm thrilled you guys were okay with it, because I actually tried to get him to post something else, because I didn't want you guys to think different of me, for being a tad to intoxicated, eeek.

Let's get to the mani. I started with a base of China Glaze Liquid Leather. I just got this and wanted to try it out. It is a great polish, but I still prefer my Sinful Black on Black.

Then using a pair of the craft scissors, did a more uniformed version of the Shredded Mani, and used Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal. I have quit a few pics, so I could try and show you guys all the colors she is capable of showing.

Hope you guys all had a great weekend!!

Another Shredded Mani...

I had tried another Shredded mani using one of Funky Fingers 2010 Holiday glitters, Blitzen. It's sooo sparkly! I just used my regular black as well. It was waaaaaayyyy easier to see the actual shredded part in real life.

Shredded Funky French....China Glaze Limbo Bimbo (hee hee)

I know, I know, I'm still 6, but the name is the main reason I bought China Glaze's Limbo Bimbo.
Here is the mani I did. I will also show you how I did it. Step by Step, btw, I use to love that show!

Okay, I started with 2 pretty thick coats of Limbo Bimbo & then a coat of Seche Vite.
Then I took, my shredded mani idea, that I posted about recently, and decided it's been a while since I've done a black tiped mani, and thought I should combine them both! Now, this wouldn't be my fave color combo, but I did this while at work, so I didn't have too many options.

Again using Scotch Tape, this is how I got my tape all into position, after I cut the design

Then I placed one on my nail, making sure to leave the tips uncovered, and painted the tips black.

When I removed it, this is what I got. Just repeat for your other fingers. Making sure to only do 1 nail at a time. Don't try to get them all taped off, then painted, before you remove the tape, or the polish wil dry to the tape and get pulled up upon removal.

This is your final result. It's actually quit fun, and could be teeth, if I used white as the tips, lol.

The Shredded Mani.....

So after my previous post about how many designs I could do using only 2 colors, and scotch tape, a fellow NB'er, suggested a zig zag design. Well, let's be honest, I'm pretty lazy, lol. So I came up with this design, It's my interpretation of zig zags, lol. My hubby called it the Shredded Mani, lol.

Here is how I cut my tape. Before I cut it, I taped it to my palm a few times. I had already had my base color polished on, but didn't get a pic. It was China Glaze Light as Air.

Then I taped it to my nail, and I polished over it, with Sally Hansen Plum Luck.

After I removed the tape, this is what I had, and I LOVED it!

I just repeated the steps for the rest of the nails, and here they all are together! After each nail though, I did cut a new piece of tape. There was a little bleeding, but it was my first attempt at this design, but NEVER AGAIN! lol
