ICY Manicure

I seriousely love this manicure, actually wore it for few last days, turned out really great.
I used some chipped blue film that i got from Sally Beauty, for the icy effect. The chips are more for acrylic or gel nail, and it was pretty big chips, so i had to cut it smaller.
I try to come up with more Christmas manicures, but my head is really to busy right now with school stuff as it is end of the semester ,so still can not get any holidays spirit.

Comparison: Zoya Ciara vs Essence Hot Stuff

Ik was gisteravond wat nieuwe lakjes aan het swatchen en Zoya Ciara kwam me erg bekend voor. Dat bleek te kloppen want ze lijkt in het flesje erg op Essence Hot Stuff!

English: I was swatching some new polishes last night and Zoya Ciara looked very familiar. I was right because in the bottle she looks a lot like Essence Hot Stuff!

Zoya Ciara op mijn middelvinger en pink. Essence Hot Stuff op wijsvinger en ringvinger. Beide zijn twee laagjes en beide hadden nog wel een laagje kunnen gebruiken tenzij je wat dikkere laagjes lakt dan ik.

English: Zoya Ciara on middle finger and pinkie. Essence on index and ring finger. Both are two coats and both could have used a third unless your coats are thicker than mine.

Beide zijn berry kleurige paarsen maar Hot Stuff is lichter en warmer van kleur. Naast Ciara is ze bijna roze te noemen. Applicatie van beide was goed maar ik heb een voorkeur voor platte bredere kwastjes dus Essence scoort hier een puntje meer bij mij. Zoals je ziet zijn het geen dupes.


English: Both are berry toned purples but Hot Stuff is lighter and warmer. Next to Ciara she's almost pink. Application on both was good but I prefer flat, wider brushes so Essence scores one point extra for me. As you can see they are not dupes.

And this is gel overlay on her natural nails cos her nail bed is so long and pretty!


I guess some of you would have lots of question marks in your head on how this marbellising nails are created. I don't know how to put them into words, but they're really interesting! And yes, they are all done using gel colours. :)
