Bridal nails - gel and acrylic

2 sets of bridal nails I did in Dec, I think.

White petals and crystals on a pink champagne glittery acrylic extension.

So bridal-ish and blissful.

Silver glitter gel overlay on client's natural nails, and yes she's got long nail beds and nice curvy nails, thus it looks pretty even without an extension.

A super bling set for her wedding. Thumb nail design is from Nail Max if I don't remember wrongly. :)

SHOCKING PINK

These are acrylic nails in shocking pink and black onyx with 3d acrylic hearts. I used nail polish to paint the swirls.

These nails have clay dots and conversation hearts.

Koh - Black Stars

Koh Black Stars

Hi! Is everyone enjoying their weekend? I hope so! Yesterday I decided I wanted to spend a gift voucher I got for Christmas. Normally I really don't like spending a lot of money on nail polish, but gift certificates kinda take that guilty feeling away :-D. I got 2 nail polishes by Koh, a Dutch brand that many actually don't like. And this is probably due to the higher price (14 euros a bottle) and the weird formula. I didn't like it at first either but I learned that I need to use a different top coat and all is well. They do have an amazing color selection, so it's getting harder for me not to like them ;-).

Today I'm wearing Black Stars, which reminds me a bit of the $OPI 212, but I think Koh's version is more vivid. The black base is a jelly and consists out of multi colored glitter and some duochrome flakies! I think you probably either love or hate this polish, it's definitely a bit weird :-D. It's so festive and hysterical, I wish I had this last New Year's eve!

Oh btw, my dearest stepdad made us a lightbox, since the weather wasn't playing along, so I had to try it out and change pictures! The normal closeup macro's didn't turn out that great, I think the lights may be too bright or the camera isn't cooperating, but pics from further away were kinda nice!

It's in My Jeans...

Day 109

Ok, so in theory, these nails are fun and cool and shit, in practice, and let me tell you I PRACTICED, they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. The process was to paint the nail the dark blue and when it was almost dry, press a piece of jean material onto the paint to leave an indentation that I would later paint with a lighter blue... like jeans? Not so much. lol every time I pressed the jean into the paint, it smeared, and I'd have to repaint the nail and start the process over. ARGH! :-P Anyway, I wasn't about to give up... and finally managed to get all 10 nails done, and mind you, they're not perfect, but I tried...thats what counts, right?!

I used Charlotte Russe nail polish in Rocker as a base, with the jeans pressed into it, and Essie Sag Harbor brushed with dry brush against the grooves from the jean. For the copper rivets, I used Urban Vibe nail polish in Charged from Wet Seal, for the seams, I used China Glaze Liquid Leather, and Diamond Cosmetics #319 Lemon Yellow Zest
for the stitching. For the Levi's tag, I used China Glaze Salsa with China Glaze White on White for the lettering.

Hope you like? :-P

English: Viva la Diva #61 is another one of the polishes I got in my swap with Anna and this is also a brand that is exclusive to Sweden.
Not very opaque but it is a very nice purple with blue, silver and fuchsia shimmer! This is three coats and in the pic it doesn't seem very opaque but irl it looks fine.

Zie je die fantastische glans? Het lijkt haast alsof mijn nagels nat zijn. En dat zonder topcoat!

English: Do you see that amazing shine? It's almost as if my nails are wet. And all that without topcoat!

Ik denk dat ik deze de volgende keer eens ga proberen over een andere lak.

English: I think I'll try this one over another polish next time.
