ST. PATRICK'S DAY

These nails are done with a glitter from sparklesnailproducts.com called shamrock. I faded it with a gold and added some irish beer stickers! Too fun!

On these nails I grabbed all of my green glitters mixed them together and came up with this cute color. This client loves green so it was perfect for her.

I made these gold stars using an impression tool from young nails.

I always think any color looks best with a little black added. Love the green and black with a fimo clay shamrock for good luck!

This is an acrylic from the young nails block party collection.

These are fimo clay ying yang's from kennickkreations.com

This is nebula with pink and white fimo clay dots. I can't remember if I've already posted a similar picture of this on my blog. I guess you just can't have too much of a good thing.

This is a fade I did from side to side to mix it up a little bit. The hibiscus flowers are fimo clay.

On these nails I did a fade with pink and purple. I did each nail a little bit different.

OPI - My Espana favorites & Upcoming Shrek Collection!

Hi guys! How is everyone? I'm a bit sick today but thankfully I had already prepared this post yesterday, so I only had to push the Publish button (well, and write this of course) :-D.

I wanted to show you my favorites from the Espana collection by OPI. This collection came out last fall, and I was pleasantly suprised! The colors that came out were wonderful, I liked almost every polish out of this collection. I'm sure you've all seen them by now but I wanted to show you two favorites of mine..

OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow

The first one, and my ultimate favorite, is Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow. This is a stunning blackened dark green. It has a jelly-like finish so It's incredibly shiny, even on it's own. The application was pretty good, the first coat went on really sheer but the 2nd coat makes up for that. I applied 3 coats, to get an opaque result.

OPI Pamplona Purple

The other color I absolutely adore, is Pamplona Purmple. It's a beautiful purple creme, with an amazing application. 2 quick coats and you're good to go!

After OPI's Absolutely Alice and the Hong Kong collection, they're already working on a new one: The Shrek After Forever collection.

OPI Shrek After Forever Collectionfrom left to right: Funky Dunkey, What's with the Cattitude?, Rumple's Wiggin', Who the Shrek Are You?, Ogre-the-Top Blue and Fiercely Fiona.

I can't wait to try these! What do you think?

Don't Make a Scene!

Today's nails were inspired by events that took place on March 3, 2010.

This is a dramatic representation of actual events.

I went to the LAPD Homicide/Crime Evidence Exhibit last night here in Las Vegas. There was evidence from heinous crimes like the Manson Murders (The Manson Murder Vehicle, ropes used to tie up Sharon Tate, etc), Black Dahlia, OJ Simpson (Gloves, hat, etc), and a number of other murders and assaults. It was fascinating, but truly disturbing/sickening to be mere inches from instruments of terror. One of the more disturbing things was seeing the footage of the Manson women, they were so enthralled with him, saying so many wonderful things about him, etc.

Anyway.

I used Diamond Cosmetics #319 Lemon Yellow Zest as a base, with Zoya Dovima painted over for the asphalt, and Zoya Raven for the lettering. For the chalk outline, I used OPI Alpine Snow Matte.
