New designs and about acrylic

Hello my dear nail art lovers!
I have 2 deigns to post for you today. Why such a spoil? This is crazy but i make different designs on my right and left hands.
I also decided to try put acrylic over my natural nails, to make it stronger. Because right now my nails are at the point when they always brake - and brake painful.
I have been thinking of it for a long time, but finally decided to give it a try.
Even cheap drug store acrylics turned out to be really easy to apply but ridiculously stinky :)
So far nails feel really well and protected under it. First i tried it on my pincky and have been wearing it for 2 weeks, and today i covered my all nails on the right hand.
Pluses : Nails looks and feels stronger, better shape of my curvy nails, hopefully i ll be able to grow it pass my dead zone.
Minuses: I guess only non acetone polish remover works with acrylics, and this is not really cool, for people like me who paint nails really often. For most population it will be however a plus, because polish stays on nails as long as you want - no chipping and acrylic.
Now i am thinking to order a professional colored acrylic set and try to learn how to sculptur acrylic nails on myself. Most purpose is to make some cool special effect designs.
I know i am a Nail-Art junky, and i can go really far with it.
So here is my acrylic covered right hand with some decent comics style flower

And here is my festive right hand, i know this is crazy to have both hands painted differently, but i really wanted to try out this design, but cleaning black from acrylic will be pain in a Butty, so only left hand got this one

Claire's - Minty Mani

Claire's Jade

Hi everyone! Today's mani is one I don't particularly like. It's a mint green from Claire's, which I picked up at Claire's when I was looking for Dream Catcher. Dream Catcher is an almost dupe of Chanel's Jade, but it seems that it's not available in the Dutch Claire's :-(. The nail polish I got has no name or number whatsoever! So let's just call it Anonymous.

Anyway, mint green, well at least this one, is not for me. It really clashes with my skintone. I already suspected this, but wanted to try it nonetheless :-D. This was a 2 coater and the application wasn't good but not bad perse. But that's mainly because I used a different brush. The brush that comes with this polish is insanely big! Think OPI's wide brush times two. Don't really know what they were thinking..:-D. Well, thanks for reading and till next time!

Let's Draw (with) Straws!

Day 89

Hey everyone! Today's nails are to show that you can find inspiration and tools everywhere around you- even at your local fast food restaurant or in your drawers! I decided to try using everyday drinking straws to create patterns on my nails, so here you go!

I used American Apparel Passport Blue as a base, with China Glaze TMI, China Glaze L8R G8R, and China Glaze DV8 'stamped' on with straws. :) I think it gives an interesting effect, not always circles, sometimes lopsided circles, etc, but I like it!! :) I topped it off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Also, try to find the hidden face, I noticed it after I took the picture! :-P

Rainbows ♥

Did this in Dec for one of my favourite girls ever.

It's a design from Nail Max! And rainbows are sculpted using coloured acrylic powder. :D

Rainbows and fluffy clouds on a 2 tone pink glitter base.

Totally cute and lovely! ♥ it!

OPI - Midnight in Moscow - Vampilicious

OPI Midnight in Moscow

Hi! Hope everyone is doing well today! Today I decided I wanted to go for something vampy. So here it is: OPI's Midnight in Moscow. It's from the 2007 fall Russian collection. This is such a pretty color, but very hard to capture on camera! I'd say the color is an almost black with red shimmer.

When I received this as a christmas present this year, I thought that it would be very similar to Black Cherry Chutney, which I also own. But Midnight in Moscow is more red toned, where BCC is more leaning towards a very dark shade of burgundy.

Anyway, I think this is a very classy nail polish, what do you think?

Oh btw, I found out that this Disqus commenting system is a pain in the *ss, but I can't seem to remove it, sorry! :-(
