Passion or Innocence?

My manicure have chipped today so i had to take some time off from working on my project and spend it enjoying doing my nails. I also made a matching ring again - i really love it! making matching rings double the fun of doing nails and triple the style of the nail look. At least in my opinion. I left the ring semi-transparent now, and it look really amazing.
So what is your opinion, is this manicure passion? or Tender and innocent?

This is closer capture of the right hand, i actually like the drawing here even better when one on left hand

OPI - You Don't Know J*cques - Suede

OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede

Hi guys! How's everybody doing? I hope fine! As you can see I've changed my blog a bit, that's just me, I get bored so easily with layouts and stuff like that :-). I've also added some pages, so all you ever wanted to know about me is up there now, yay. jk ;-). The FAQ page isn't there yet, because I really wanted to take the time to make it something worth reading. It will be up soon though :-).

Today I have another Suede by OPI to show you: You don't know Jacques. It looks nothing like the regular version, but I absolutely love it. I love how they've added a little bit more warmth to this taupe, it's almost glowy! And I need this little extra warmth, because my hands are the whitest out there (these photos do exaggerate it though ;-) ). This polish is packed with shimmer, which I simply admire, OPI did a really awesome job on creating these Suedes.

The application didn't cause me any problems, I do always have to rush applying mattes, otherwise it will get all streaky on me.

This is definitely my #1 pick if I have to meet with clients or stuff like that. I don't own that many 'worksafe' colors, what are your favorites?

Stereotyping Suburbia

These nails are inspired by and dedicated to the stereotypical suburban dream. I can just picture the Nuclear family (Parents, 2.2 kids, dog), waving from the other side. :-P Not sure what made me think of it. I think there was a white picket fence mentioned on tv while I was watching. Who knows. lol

I used Orly Snowcone as base, Sally Hansen All the White Stuff
for the picket fence, and both BB Couture Poison Ivy and Green Scene for the grass. :) Topped off with 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

More more more.... cny nails! Part 2

Ok now, acrylic nails.

4th set. Blue glitter with stars and disco balls inlay. Decorated with white ribbons.

Finally a blue set!! It's always pink, red, white, pinkpinkpink...
Anyway! It looks really glossy in real, with the sparkling blue stars. Chio!

This is actually a set of short nail extension. However, it's already quite long for her cos her nail bed is short. Loving the stars....... :D

5th set. Fuschia pink glitter with roses and rose heart cushion. Of all the CNY nails I've done, this is one of the most girly ones!

Uber sweet can!

Huge blings and the close up of the roses.

I almost died doing the uber tiny rose on the white cushion heart. Haha! But totally worth the effort!

Super clear close up pic. I ♥ my Canon camera!

6th set. Red with laces and flowers! This is the last set of nails I did on CNY eve. Last set, and the most CNY-ish of all!

The laces and flower petals are done using light pink acrylic powder, and I also added a little peach powder to the flowers.

I ♥ the petals.

Happy CNY to all of you! I will blog again within the next few days, that is if I'm not playing MJ. Hahaha!

Gel nails first!

1st set. Kimono inspired nails!
Nail design from Feb 10 issue of Nail Max. Modified the color!
The white and blue part is done using gel colors. That's what I love about gel, no need to worry about color chipping! Unlike nail polish. hehehe.

The colors are so HER! That is, if you girls know who she is. :D

The most unique set of nails I've done so far. No crystals used, yet so eye catching!

2nd set. The ever so popular minnie mouse nails! Ok la, I know you all have seen this design soooo many times, but this is too cute not to post it again. HAHAHA!

The pink candy bows are almost edible. Yums.

See! I told you it's too cute already. I ♥ it.

3rd set. Valentine hearts n tons of blings! The pink and silver acrylic hearts are pre-made and then pasted onto the nails. Secured with lots of glue n gel top coat. :)

Enough said on the blingness and the ♥s.

Valentine's day and CNY nails. All combined.

My very own set of CNY nails ♥

Sorry girls! I haven't been blogging and updating my blog! Neglected it for 2 weeks. Here I am, blogging again! I have loads of nail pics to share. :D

Almost everyone who came for appts asked whether I'll be doing my own nails for CNY. My answer to them: I really don't know whether I'll have the time and energy especially since I fell sick(yes I caught the flu bug, sore throat n fever on mon evening 8th feb) and all my appts are back to back up till CNY eve, 13th feb. Anyway, I survived!! And decided to do my own nails. Hehehee. Finished them up at 2am on CNY eve.

Nice or not?!?!! It's a yellow glitter acrylic sculpture extension with hand painted leopard prints. Ready made red roses and lots of huge blings. The bling on my thumb is humongous. Hehehe. This is super matchy matchy with my black Christian Audigier top. :D

Daph wanted to know how Art de Lautrec #25 compared to Essie Angora Cardi so I made a quick comparison. Sorry about the state of my cuticles, I was swatching and acetone is pretty drying.

Van links naar rechts:

From left to right:

Misa Runway Diva, Essence Spot On, Art de Lautrec #25, Essie Angora Cardi.

Op mijn nagels in dezelfde volgorde, allemaal met drie laagjes en een topcoat:

On my nails in the same order, all with three coats and a topcoat:

Zoals je kunt zien is Angora Cardi donkerder en meer paars en Misa Runway Diva is rozer en wat meer helder maar Essence Spot On komt wel heel dicht in de buurt!
Spot On heeft iets meer grijs en is wat stoffiger maar ze liggen zo dicht bij elkaar dat je ze naar mijn mening niet beide hoeft te hebben als je niet heel erg van dit soort kleuren houdt.

As you can see Angora Cardi is darker and more purple and Misa Runway is more pink and a bit brighter but Essence Spot on is really close! Spot On has a bit more grey and is a little more dusty but they are so close I don't think you need both unless you really lose these colours.

Both are opaque in three thin coats but the Essence applies just a little bit better in my opinion. The price is also an issue of course. Art de Lautrec isn't expensive at €3,05 but Essence still is a lot cheaper and you don't have to pay for shipping. So if you are thinking of getting one I would go for the Essence.
Another side by side bottle pic to show the difference:

That's it, I hope this helps someone!

Edit: Somehow my pics get cropped in a weird way. Sorry about that! I'll try to fix it but I'm not really sure what the problem is. In the meantime you can click the pics to get a better look.
